Happy momma, Happy home, Happy Everyone!

Have you ever heard of they saying "If momma ain't happy, then ain't nobody happy" ? I strongly agree with that quote! During this pregnancy, I am going through the hormones. It hasn't really been THAT bad, but I've come to the conclusion that I need more time for myself!

A few things that I love to do to stay happy;

Spa Day

I don't do these often, mainly because I paint my own nails and it can get very expensive to have the do it. There are the times that I have just put it off for too long and the salon is calling my name. A nice fill in my acrylic overlays and an eyebrow wax is sometimes all I need to feel better!

Retail Therapy

Every girl needs this in her life. I haven't had one in a while. but I will have to soon, when I need to find clothes that actually fit me. I love to go to thrift stores or consignment shops the most.

I know most of you non parents are probably thinking, 'wth'. Well this, for parents, is the time that we have to ourselves. That 15-30 minutes that I can think about anything & everything. I like to take these in the morning or late at night while Josiah is sleeping.

Paint my nails

Actually having time to do this at least once a week is a great plus. I usually don't get to it because it takes so long for them to dry and I always hit them on something. If i get around to doing them it's usually while Josiah is sleep at night, when the dishes are put up and the clothes are out for the next day.

This was one of my favorite past times. I really enjoy Zumba and any kind of classes at my gym. I haven't been able to work out because I'm just too scared with this being a high risk pregnancy. I always feel 20 times better after a great work out. And I honestly can't wait to get back into the gym! I'm totally losing all of this baby weight and well....I might be a little obsessed. I'm just sayin.

What are some things that make you happy?

Baby Bump Hump Day {20 Weeks}

Baby is size of a Banana

  The headaches haven't been as often as they were and the restless leg syndrome has for the most part stopped as well.. I think eating a banana as often as I can has been the major factor for that. The only other symptom other then weight gain, is tenderness in my boobs! They hurt so bad sometimes, it's crazy!

  Not too much difference in cravings, except I don't want anything but fast food! I need to stop unless I want to continue gaining a lot of weight! =(

Maternity Clothes
  I am surprisingly still in my regular clothes. But I am mostly wearing summer dresses and shorts when I'm not at work and my work pants are stretchy!

Weight gain
  I am now up around 164.8 which makes a total gain this whole pregnancy 12.8lbs. So I am up 2.8 lbs in two weeks. One of my apps says that is excessive. So let's hope that not eating out this week will help with the excessive weight gain =(

  Still haven't been exercising, but walking around a lot when I go places. It's been a struggle to know that I can't work out and let my body get this way, but like I said before I'd rather risk all of that for my baby to be alive.

  ALLLL the time!! I swear she never sleeps. It kind of makes me nervous BUT VERY happy that she is moving and still there! It definitely relaxes me to lay down and feel her doing flips.

Labor Signs
no and I hope not until full term!

  We found out HERE what we were having! AND I couldn't be any more excited!!

Belly button in or out?
 Still in.

  I'm still shopping around with what to do. I have been looking for houses with 3 bedrooms, to eliminate some of the hassle of three kids sharing ONE room. BUT to save money, I think we are going to stay at my moms until tax time then move into a 2 bedroom apartment. And still all the kids will have to share a room.

5forFIVE; Mani Monday GET MY BABY REGISTRY DONE - I think I am finally done with my registry at Babies R Us
2. WALK AROUND THE BLOCK 2X - I think walking around the concert for an hour can make up for this.
4. HAVE FUN AT THE WIZ KHALIFA CONCERT!- I did have fun for the most part. Even though we got there two hours late and only got to see one performance (Wiz)... I'm more upset that the weather forecast totally said it was going to be 0% chance of rain up until 3pm. And it decided to not only rain but POUR.
5. SEND VERIZON PHONE BACK - I am in the process of getting a new computer with a CD ram. This is being a pain in the butt! but I'll save the trouble of writing this one again for a few weeks lol

1. DON'T EAT OUT ALL WEEK - this one will be real hard me. I've had some  terrible cravings this pregnancy and it's only getting worse. I've only wanted to eat out the past few weeks.
2. WALK AROUND THE BLOCK 2X - I may just plan a Busch gardens trip or something to make up for this. I have to find a way to do this in an interesting way because I get bored from just walking.
3. NAIL POLISH RACK - I HAVE TO get this done. I'm tired of my nail polish just chillin' every where! I want to do it myself to blog about, but I'm totally about to pay someone to do it for me. LOL
4. RETURN LAPTOP TO WALMART - I really hope they don't give a hassle because I've already opened it. It's only been a week and I haven't saved anything to it yet.
5. GET A PLANNER! - I need this for my blogging sake and personal sake. I have so many papers in my purse, it makes for a complete mess. I need to find one that I can keep in my purse but still big enough to hold everything LOL

I am sportin' plain stained nails today!
I finally took off the pink and blue and cut my nails down...

Social Sunday!

Haven't done this in a while! HELLOOOO

This Weeks Questions:
1. What is the most difficult thing you have been through? My recent miscarriage. I had a tough time dealing, I drank after to get through my nights. But I finally realized that baby was in a better place, and it just wasn't time to get pregnant yet. Look at me now I'm almost 19 weeks pregnant, and very happy.

2. What was your best birthday? I'd have to say my 21st!I don't have any pictures on my current phone, except these ---

I ALSO went out with my cousin and mom for my Actual birthday night, and they got me so drunk!!! LOL

3. What has been your favorite thing you’ve done in your own city? I love going to Busch gardens! Although I can't ride anything right now, I still like to take Josiah! He loves getting wet at Elmo's World.

4. What is your idea of the perfect date night?  The perfect date would be a walk in the park, with a picnic and/or walking on the beach! I love the beach. It's so nice that I live like 10 minutes away from on. I do love to go out and get dressed up and have a big fat steak once in a while though!

5. Have you ever been to a blogging conference?  No, but I really would like to! I'd hate to go alone to be honest.

Next Weeks Questions:
1. 3 Favorite songs right now
2. 3 Favorite movies that remind you of Summer
3. 3 Favorite articles of clothing you own
4. 3 Items on your wish list
5. 3 Books you would recommend to someone

Easiest Overnight Oatmeal Breakfast

So I have been on Pinterest a lot lately and came across and easy oatmeal breakfast that I wanted to try and share with you!

Although the original recipe calls for Greek yogurt, I used what was available to me at the time! That's the best time to improvise, right? It's probably a healthier choice to use Greek BUT guess what, it was still amazing! =)

You'll need;

1/2 cup of plain oats
6 oz container of yogurt (Greek or regular)
5 strawberries chopped

Mix everything up and place it in a seal tight jar and leave in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.

There ya have it! Like I said the original recipes call for Greek yogurt. Also Chia seeds and Almond Milk. This recipe is quick, easy, and cheap =)

Happy Friday People!!!!! I'm excited to share my news with you all.

I wanted to do things differently this time and do a reveal with balloons!

So yesterday I had  my appointment with Fun Fetal Photos. My mom, Josiah, and two of my friends came to see my baby live in action! I let them find out that morning and later that evening we planned a little get together to reveal what we are having. I had to wait until Joe got off of work! Which, to me felt like the longest day EVER. At 7pm we finally got to open the box!

Josiah's Footprint from when he was 2 (you go back after you had your ultrasound and put your hand or foot print on their wall)

  The only time it's OKAY to drink a bottle of Mountain Dew!! LOL I took advantage of it!

Got my nails done for the occasion ;)

He even thought it was a joke. LOL

Although it was made last minute (& a little on the cheap side LOL), it was all perfect!

I'm having a baby girl, and I don't know what to do with myself! I'm over whelmed but everything, WHERE DO I START???!! HELP!!

Baby Bump Hump Day {18 Weeks}

It's hump day! And to get you through your week, I'm going to post about my baby bump! I didn't get to record anything for Josiah. So I was hoping to record most things about this pregnancy! This will be my open diary for pregnancy #3.

I'm considered to be 18 weeks today..

Baby is size of a sweet potato

  You know every other pregnancy was so different. I actually haven't had any morning sickness this time! I have had it for all my other pregnancies, so I am just very surprised. Hopefully that means it's a girl!!!!! (Pray with me!) Lately I have had headaches but mainly when I don't eat "on time". I've been caught off guard by a new symptom, and that's restless leg syndrome. It hasn't been made official but I'm pretty sure I have it. I actually posted a status on Facebook about it and one girl told me to put a bar of soap next to were my feet are. Well that didn't work me.

   I've been craving anything salty! BUT HONESTLY!! I have been eating everything! Every 2 hours to be exact, or else I will get my headaches! I've learned what baby doesn't like. Most Chinese food. We have a place called "The Cookout", that I eat at once in a while and twice I've eaten there and it's made me sick. We also have a place called "Zaxby's".. nope baby didn't like that either.

Maternity Clothes
Not yet! I haven't bought any new clothes except for long summer Maxis. I think once my bump form I will be able to wear short cute dresses but right now I feel fat.

Weight gain
  Surprisingly since I have been too scared to work out, I've only gained about 10 lbs this entire pregnancy. It feels like a lot more & it may even look like more... but that's it! I hope that since I'm standing up most of the time at job that I would not gain as much as I did with Josiah. With him I think I gained about 40 lbs, if not more!! -_-

   Since I've been terrified to work out, I have only been walking around the block here and there. Sometimes I am just too lazy to even walk. In the beginning I was very stressed out about not being able to work out, but I kind of put my pride to the side to think about having a safe pregnancy then worry about my body at this point!

I have been feeling him or her move a lot the past few days and mostly when I'm laying down at night! I really hope the schedule changes b/c I'm not ready to be up alllll night long! haha

Labor Signs
no and I hope not until full term!

I am going to find out tomorrow what we're having! Josiah wants a boy and Joe thinks it's a boy. Everyone online says it's a girl. despite what the chinese calender says (they say it's a boy!) I'm still praying for a GIRL! BUT as long as the baby is full term and healthy I am cool with whatever!!! (INSERT CHEESY SMILEY FACE HERE)

Belly button in or out?
Still in.

OF COURSE I have been looking at so many choices. I know that the kids will have to share a room whether I stay here at m mom's or move out because we can only afford a two bedroom. BUT I have so many ideas of sharing a space...

Well I think that's about it! I won't update here every week, because we all know that would be just too much. And really I may not have the time for that. I am doing my reveal Thursday night so you will know what I'm having Friday!!!

Easy Cronut Recipe!

I made this about a week ago for the first time and I fell in love. I probably gained about ten pounds eating them too!

Homemade Cronuts are easy and so tasty!

What you'll need;

  • For dough:
Canola oil
1 canister refrigerated Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
1 snack-size (4 ounce) container vanilla pudding
  • For decoration:
3 cups powdered sugar, divided
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup granulated sugar

First your going to heat up the canola oil in a sauce pan or in your deep fryer. While your waiting for that, you open the crescent rolls and flatten them out in double layers. Using biscuit cutters you want to make 3 inch round holes, and then smaller 1 inch ones inside the large ones.

(donut and donut hole sizes)

Fry the dough for about 50 seconds on each side or until golden brown to your liking. Drain on a paper towel

In a medium bowl, mix 3 cups of powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, and then add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until a smooth, glaze-like consistency forms.

Cut the donut in half and add the vanilla pudding then top with powdered sugar combination!!!

Top however you'd like & Enjoy!!

What I did this weekend ; #Photobomb Monday!

I haven't done a weekend post in a while, and what better time to start back up then now! week's goals;

Ok, so I didn't do anything this week. I've been too busy! I know that I wanted to work morning shifts and now that I have them I'm just so tired all the time! AND lazy! I will put everything on my list again. AND I WILL DO IT! I'm going to go to Wal-mart and put everything on the phone to a USB then return it. One thing I did do was walk around Busch Gardens with Josiah. So that is just like walking around the block, right?! I'd like to think so! =)

This week's goals AGAIN;

I did eat out this weekend. I went to Cheesecake Factory with Taylor! It was good and a fun time. The food was alright but can you believe that this is my third time there and I never ate the cheesecake from there! Yeah, so needless to say I chose one to finally take home and try.

 Louisiana Chicken Pasta

Red Velvet Cheesecake. I was amazing!

While I was at work Friday morning, my mom decided she was going to Chic Fil A to get the free meals. She did make him a shirt, but then she looked on here for the printables that I had posted LOL

We went to Busch Gardens. My cousin is here from Tennessee and even though I can't ride anything I can still take him and Josiah..

The good thing about going to Busch Gardens during July and August is that they do fire works every night. Remember how I had to work 4th of July. Yeah so this was my 4th of July Fireworks with my baby! I'm so glad that he wasn't as scared this time and actually enjoyed them!

Since I actually had the weekend off! I went to my cousin Sabrinas house. It's great that close family lives only minutes away! It's actually the best thing in the world! The view from her deck is amazing any time but this sunset... I mean look at it!

He is going to kill me when he is older!

I finally got my Julep Box for July!
I'll post a review about these lovelies sometime this week!
